A wonderful read--I especially loved Safari. As an introvert, your description of the painful party made me laugh: "Silently devouring tapas lasted only five minutes, and I didn’t want to come across as either a drunk or a phone addict. So, stationed at the fringe of the party, I began examining each poster as if I were touring the Prado Museum with a secret audio guide." So apt!

A connoisseur! Thank you! And how lovely that you shared your reactions to the reading. The story is half-true, as you may have noticed, and it was undeniably an interesting experiment in patience. One that paid off many times over.

I loved the mix of these three so joyful to read. To the 1st one I related the most, the 2nd one was sort of a charming rest before the 3rd took over my interest... might be cause I'm currently reading "The Book Of Strange New Things" by Michel Faber (for the 2nd time). Reading it, I knew I have to write my own sci-fi novel.

Thank you for the tip, Marisa, and for reading with curiosity.

Great writing. We don't have tapas here.

Lovely reads, all 3 of them! But this bit from Safari made me laugh the most “I pictured it having been invented by a young girl, to keep her mother from reading her diary” - and it reminded me of the secret code alphabet that I invented with my best friend from childhood when we were little girls, replacing each letter with a sign and then passing over notes that took forever to descipher… And because she was living in the apartment below, we also invented a secret code to communicate by tapping on the pipes. After few taps exchange, we were calling each other on the phone to make sure we got the message right. Delicious memory, thank you once again!

Thank you and I am happy the story could take you back to memory lane! I actually know someone with such an alphabet/language that still uses it every day. I was very impressed by the inventiveness.

Sevilla is a magical place, your experience at the party took me back to years ago when I first moved here, and I love your writing about being in Parque Alamillo. A Seville-based novel has piqued my interest!

Thank you so much! I’m thrilled that my writing resonated with you and sparked your interest in a Sevilla-based novel. It truly means a lot to hear from someone who knows the city so well. Warmest greetings from Stockholm!
